Pipa Noodle Bar
Scope of Work:
Brand Identity Design, Design Intensive - Merch Design
Overview:
Pipa Noodle Bar is a build-your-own ramen restaurant that puts customization, bold flavors, and an energetic, street-inspired atmosphere at the center of the dining experience. Guests are encouraged to play with combinations, layer textures and toppings, and create bowls that feel uniquely their own.
Brand and Concept:
The brand concept positions Pipa as a fun, fast-casual destination where quality ingredients and a vibrant, urban aesthetic meet. Messaging focuses on personalization, craveable broths, and an inclusive, come-as-you-are vibe that welcomes both ramen enthusiasts and first-timers.
Visual Identity:
The visual identity embraces punchy colors, expressive typography, and graphic elements inspired by noodle motion, chopsticks, and steaming bowls. These components come together in a dynamic system designed to shine on in-store signage, menus, murals, and merchandise—from tote bags to tees and takeout packaging.
Graphic Design and Merch:
A graphic-heavy approach was used to extend the brand into a robust merch collection, including apparel, stickers, tote bags and packaging-ready illustrations. This design-intensive system turns guests into brand advocates, creating pieces that feel collectible, wearable, and highly shareable on social media.
Purpose and Impact:
Through its bold branding and merch-forward strategy, Pipa Noodle Bar is able to build a strong sense of community and recognition beyond the restaurant walls. The result is a brand that lives in guests’ closets, cupboards, and feeds as much as it does in the dining room.
